Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 November 2026

General

Use of the web pages and services offered to visitors/users by golicenses.com requires your unconditional agreement to the following terms of use, which apply to the entire content of the website. Visitors/users should therefore read these terms carefully before using the website's services and, if they do not agree, should not use its services and content. Please check these terms from time to time for changes. Continuing to use golicenses.com after any change means that you unconditionally accept the updated terms.

Our aim is to serve our customers as well as we possibly can. The golicenses.com online store lets customers and every Internet user find out straight away about the digital software licenses we offer and buy them online. All products are delivered electronically, as activation keys sent to the order email address; no physical product is shipped.

Personal data protection policy

We created this website for the sole purpose of serving our customers. To serve you best, it is important that you, our customer, understand that you need to give us certain information required to process your order, which we keep safe.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679), Greek Law 4624/2019 as in force, any more specific national and EU legislation, Greek Law 3471/2006 on personal data protection in electronic communications as in force, and the decisions of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Full details on the Privacy Policy page.

Personal Data Protection Statement

To place an order on golicenses.com you will be asked for certain personal details: full name, email address (where your key is sent), contact phone number, country and, if you request an invoice, your billing details.

Note on card details: We do NOT collect, store or have access to your credit or debit card details (card number, expiry date, CVV). All card payments are processed exclusively through the secure platform of our authorised payment provider, Stripe.

This Personal Data Protection Statement and the Terms of Use describe how golicenses.com collects data, how we use it and the terms of use of the website. They apply only to the personal data you give us while placing your orders.

Data collection

Information that users give voluntarily is used by golicenses.com so that users can communicate directly with the store, receive answers to their questions and have their orders fulfilled. Information collected through the website is also used to measure traffic, understand customer needs and make transactions easier. golicenses.com does not pass users' email addresses or any other information to third parties, except to direct partners necessary to fulfil orders (e.g. the payment provider).

You can visit golicenses.com without revealing your identity. Personal data is requested only when you want to buy a product, create an account or contact us by email.

Access to data

Every order requires the collection of personal details. These details are kept confidential and are accessible only to the responsible golicenses.com staff. By providing your details you agree that our staff may use them for the purposes described above. golicenses.com requires its staff and website maintainers to keep the level of security described in this statement. In no other case do we share your personal details without your prior consent, unless required by law or by a court or prosecutor's order.

Use of the data collected

golicenses.com collects three types of information about users: (1) your account details, the account being created automatically with your first order, (2) details you give us to fulfil your order and (3) whatever you send us when you contact us. We use this information to (i) send your key and keep you informed about your order, (ii) confirm and verify the customer where necessary, (iii) inform you about new or alternative products and (iv) send special offers. You can ask not to receive such communications by emailing [email protected].

We use your personal data only for the purposes described above and do not collect more than is necessary. If we intend to use data processed with your consent for another purpose, we will inform you in advance and do so only with your permission.

Use of personal data for marketing

We may send you emails with golicenses.com offers and news that may interest you. We will not use your data for marketing unless you have given your prior, explicit and free consent. For existing customers, we may use the email address you gave us within our customer relationship to tell you about similar products; you can object when it is collected and in every message, by following the unsubscribe instructions it contains.

Use and retention of personal data for compliance

We may need to use and retain personal data for legal and compliance reasons, such as the prevention, detection or investigation of crime, and the prevention of loss, fraud or any other misuse of our services and systems. We may also use it for internal and external audit requirements, for information security purposes or to protect or exercise our rights or the rights of others.

Cookies

golicenses.com uses cookies to run the store. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow the website to work smoothly. They are divided into necessary/technical cookies, which are required for the cart and the website to work, and statistics/advertising cookies, which are enabled only with your explicit consent through the cookie notice. You can also set your browser to notify you before a cookie is stored or to reject cookies; in that case some store features may not work. Full details on the Cookie Policy page.

Processing of sensitive data

In some cases we may process special categories of personal data about you ("sensitive data"). Sensitive data is personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data used to identify a natural person, health data or data concerning sex life or sexual orientation. We may process sensitive data that you have made public, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or where you have freely given your prior, explicit and separate consent for a specific purpose.

Correcting, changing or deleting information

golicenses.com allows its users to correct, change, complete or delete the data they have provided. If you ask us to delete information, we will delete it from our records straight away. Exception: under Article 17(3) GDPR, data relating to completed transactions and invoices is not deleted, as tax law requires us to keep it. For your protection, we will confirm that the request comes from the user themselves. To access, change or delete your data, to report a problem with the website or for any question, email us at [email protected]. You can also change your details from your account. We will do everything possible to protect your personal data, but keeping your password safe also depends on you.

Your legal rights

As a data subject you have the following rights:

  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Right to rectification: you can ask us to correct data about you; you can also check and correct it from your golicenses.com account.
  • Right to restriction: you can ask us to restrict processing if a) you contest the accuracy of the data, for the time we need to verify it, b) processing is unlawful and you request restriction instead of erasure, c) we no longer need the data but you need it for legal claims, or d) you have objected to processing, while we check whether our legitimate interests override yours.
  • Right of access: you can ask for information about the data we hold about you, why it is used, where it was collected and to whom it has been disclosed, and receive a free copy. A reasonable fee may be charged for further copies.
  • Right to data portability: on request, we will transfer your data to another controller where technically feasible and where processing is based on your consent or is necessary for a contract.
  • Right to erasure: you can ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, when you exercise your right to object, when you withdraw consent and there is no other legal basis, or when processing is unlawful, unless processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or for legal claims.
  • Right to object: you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interest. We will then stop processing your data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override yours or the processing is needed for legal claims.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: you can complain to the supervisory authority of the country where you live; in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

We will reply to your request within 30 days; this may be extended for complex requests. If we cannot meet a request, we will explain why. In some cases, e.g. cookie data, we may not be able to identify you without additional information. To exercise your rights, email us at [email protected].

Acceptance of our privacy procedures

By using this website you accept and agree to this Personal Data Protection Statement and to the website's terms of use.

Limited license

Subject to these terms and all applicable law, golicenses.com grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal and limited right to access, use and display the website and its content. This license does not transfer title to the website and is subject to the following restrictions: (1) you must keep all copyright and other proprietary notices on every copy and (2) you may not modify, reproduce, publicly display, distribute or otherwise use the website and its content for any public or commercial purpose, unless expressly permitted here.

Changes

golicenses.com reserves the right to change or amend these terms of use at any time. Changes take effect when published on the website, and any use of the website after them is deemed acceptance. Each order is governed by the terms in force when it was placed. golicenses.com may at any time change, suspend or discontinue any feature of the website, including the availability, image or description of any product.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the company, its employees and representatives are not liable for consequential, incidental, indirect or special damages, costs or penalties, including, without limitation, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of information or data, and third-party claims, arising from or in connection with the use of the website or its content or any linked website. The license for each piece of software is governed by its manufacturer's terms (e.g. Microsoft, ESET, Panda). Nothing above limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Product details, images, prices, availability

golicenses.com makes every effort to keep product details, images, prices and availability accurate, but cannot guarantee that no errors will occur for any reason when they are entered or updated.

The store reserves the right to cancel orders where an incorrect description, unavailability, a wrong price or title is found. We will always tell you the reason by email and refund the full amount you paid.

In good faith and for your own protection, if you find that a product is offered at an unusually low or high price compared with its market value, please contact us at [email protected] before ordering.

Prices are in euro (€) and the total amount, including the applicable VAT, is shown before you complete your order. The "Manufacturer price" shown next to some products is the price at which the manufacturer itself sells the product in its own store and is given for comparison only.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a natural person (consumer) and the purchase is for personal use, you generally have a right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, such as licenses and activation keys, this right ends once performance begins by sending the key to your email, provided that before purchase you gave your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. You give this consent at the last step of the order.

If your key has not been sent yet, you can cancel the order by emailing [email protected] and we refund the full amount, using the same payment method. Details, and what happens if a key does not activate, on the Returns & Withdrawal page.

Browsing security

golicenses.com works exclusively over an encrypted SSL/TLS (HTTPS) connection.

Card payment security

All card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) are processed through the Stripe online payment platform. More on the Payment Methods page.

Dispute resolution

For any dispute, please contact us first at [email protected]. If you are a consumer, you can also turn to an alternative dispute resolution body, such as the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (synigoroskatanaloti.gr), or to the competent courts. Greek law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
