Microsoft Office Home & Student 2016, 1 PC, Lifetime License

Office Home & Student 2016: the answer for older computers

Office Home & Student 2016 is the right choice when your computer runs an older version of Windows, such as Windows 7 or 8.1, where newer Office versions will not install. Light, fast and with the familiar ribbon interface, it comfortably covers home and study needs.

What it includes

• Word for documents and assignments.
• Excel for tables and charts, including the then-new waterfall and histogram charts.
• PowerPoint for presentations.
• OneNote for notes.

Why choose it

• Compatibility: installs on Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and 11.
• Low requirements: runs comfortably on computers with 2 GB of memory.
• Perpetual license: no subscription, at very low cost.

A note on support

Microsoft ended security updates for Office 2016 in October 2025. The apps work normally for documents, spreadsheets and presentations, but they no longer receive new fixes. For a new computer, or if you often open attachments from unknown senders, we recommend a 2024 edition or a Microsoft 365 subscription from our Office range.

System requirements

• Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10 or 11
• 1 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM
• 3 GB free space

Delivery and activation

1. After payment you receive the product key by email.
2. Install Office from the installation package for this version.
3. Open any app, such as Word, and enter the key when prompted or under File > Account. Activation happens online.
