Avast: simple protection that stays out of your way

Avast is used by millions of people worldwide and belongs to Gen Digital, alongside AVG and Norton. Its large user base feeds one of the biggest threat detection networks, so new viruses are recognised very quickly.

Avast editions

• Avast Internet Security: for Windows PCs, with a firewall, ransomware protection, safe browsing and a spam filter.
• Avast Premium Security: all of the above for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, plus webcam protection and fake website detection. From 1 to 10 devices.
• Avast Ultimate: the complete bundle, combining Premium Security, Cleanup Premium for cleanup and speed, SecureLine VPN and AntiTrack against online tracking.
• Avast Security Pro for Mac: exclusively for Apple computers.
• Avast Mobile Ultimate: for Android phones and tablets.

Standalone tools

If you already have antivirus and only want part of the suite, Avast SecureLine VPN, HMA VPN for unlimited devices and Avast Cleanup Premium are available separately. More tools, such as Driver Updater and AntiTrack, are in Applications.

Which one to choose

For one computer at home, Internet Security is enough. If you also protect phones or a Mac, go for Premium Security. Ultimate pays off when you also need a VPN, because it costs less than the individual programs combined.

Delivery and activation

After payment, the activation code arrives by email. Install Avast from the official website, open the menu and choose to enter an activation code.
