Kaspersky is one of the best-known names in computer security, with a long record near the top of independent detection tests. Its suites combine virus protection, privacy tools and parental controls in one program.

The current range

• Kaspersky Standard: real-time protection against viruses, ransomware and phishing, plus device optimisation tools.
• Kaspersky Plus: adds an unlimited VPN, a password manager and data leak checks.
• Kaspersky Premium: the complete suite, with identity protection, Safe Kids parental controls and priority support.

All of them run on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS with one key, in packs from 1 to 10 devices.

Previous editions

You will also find licenses under the names of the previous range: Antivirus, Internet Security, Total Security and Security Cloud Personal and Family. They roughly correspond to Standard, Plus and Premium respectively, and Family covers up to 20 devices. Finally, VPN Secure Connection is also sold on its own, for 5 devices.

For small businesses

Kaspersky Small Office Security is designed for offices of up to 25 seats. Each pack covers a set number of file servers, computers and phones, for example 1 server, 5 PCs and 5 phones, managed through a web console with no technician required.

Delivery and activation

You receive the activation code by email. Download the app from the official Kaspersky website, sign in to My Kaspersky and enter the code. From there you add your other devices too.

Can I renew my existing subscription?

Yes. Enter the new code in the app or in My Kaspersky, and the new period starts when the current one ends.

Which edition is the best value?

For most users, Kaspersky Plus, because it includes a VPN and a password manager you would otherwise buy separately.
